Hydrotherapy of the colon Uha loa, also known as colonic cleansing or irrigation, involves using water to flush waste out
of the large intestine (colon). Hawaiians believe that sickness starts with an imbalance in our stomach (‘ōpū). In order to address any sickness in
our body we must clean out our Uha loa our colon.
The colon is the last part of the digestive system. Its function is to reabsorb fluids and process waste products from the body and prepare for its
